Got steel cover plate coming to bolt onto the M1151 roof that currently has the 16 bolts holding the large rubber O ring and the rubber bushings in it on the current roof that we have removed the 1/4" steel plates from. After removing the bolts, it appears that this mount was siliconed in place as well for water resistance. I've been chiseling, cutting and pounding in this GA heat for several hours and not making any progress. Thinking of making some sort of spreader bar and strap and using the forklift to yank it up. Or a bottle jack and 4/4 post to push it out from the bottom, but I don't know if the silicone will give way.
Any tips or tricks? I'll hang up and listen.
