Anybody use a 395/85/20 tire size on combat rims?

Has anybody done this? I know this size has been used on 2 1/2 tons but was curious if anybody had done this on a 5 ton? How was the top speed affected?

Also has anybody been successful using the MRAP rim on a 5 ton?

Thanks for the help.

Yes they have been used, the top speed goes up when you install 395s on a truck that had 1100s and goes down on a truck that had 1400s. I don't believe the mrap rims work on a 5ton, but you might want to see what peashooter says.

I haven't driven them enough to be sure, but i doubt you'll lose 60. The nice thing is a tad more torque.

You need to take a look at Ke5eua's 818 build. He is right in the thick of this, and no the MRAP rims don't work.
I think it depends on the TYPE of Mrap wheel being used. I have a set of 20 bolt aluminum wheels from an mrap that look like they will work on my M925.
I do not know what variant these came from though.

Here's mine with the 395's. Brutus at Pre-Doomsday Meet 075.jpg I did not notice much top end mph loss. But it beats having to worry about only going 55mph like the 14's were rated for. I can run 62mph and not have to worry about the tires coming apart.
