Anyone been to Ripley without a GL escort?

I tried setting up an appt. today but the guy is in SD this week, so there's no on-site rep for the current round of trucks.

Is it possible to get in there without the guy?

What's the risk of buying a M925 without seeing it from the MN NG?

I only have a 40 mile trek to my property from the base, but I'd rather not buy a truck in need of money if it can be avoided. Funds are tight as it is.

Ok, that's the kind of thing I wasn't expecting.

The trucks were driven in, but won't start. I was figuring they didn't know about turning the batteries on. Now I'll definitely hold out for ones I can get my nose under.

I've bought two vehicles from Ripley sight unseen, M35A3(GL video) M923(GL video). Both drove home about 90 miles. My 923 needs the oil cooler replaced and had some issues with ctis seals on the M35A3 and torque rods. The last round of 923 and 923A2 went amazing cheap IMO. Like getting a truck for $1000 considering all the winch stuff if 1K or so. I was kicking myself when they closed. I bid up to $1400 on one of the 923's told myself to go a little over 2K but didn't. Sure enough they all went from 2K to a little less than 3K for the A2 even(though that red tag in the cab of the A2 would've been a red flag if I was bidding on it). Even if you had to tow them home it still was a deal in my eyes. You'd have to ask John, but I doubt you can preview without him present.

LOL these things ARE money pits, there's no getting around repairing things. BTW be careful about talking about upcoming auctions, it's not allowed here.
