Since I didn't want to machine a spacer, I couldn't use the aftermarket Wix.
I called John Emery and he said he had a few originals left and a replacement "sock" style filter like modern vehicles use. I ordered both so I could decide what to use.
I decided to use the modern replacement he is offering, since it is probably more effective. The original (which he only has a few left of) was $24, the new replacement was $28. His replacement does require that your pickup tube to be in good condition. Some are pitted and the new filter wouldn't seal to the tube in that case.
