Anyone know the injector number for the '86 M1009? Despite alot of scrubbing with a tooth brush and carb cleaner I still can't read them in the truck. Couldn't find in TM's either.

number? are you looking for a replacement? If you are looking for the GM part # get ready to put out over 400 bucks. Just get a set of replacement tips. If you can take the injector out you can rebuild it. Its fool proof.

Injector number? Do you mean the Injector Pump? There is only one mechanical Injector Pump for the 6.2. There are two settings they should be set at when they are rebuilt one is for the "C" code and one for the "J" code. You need the one for the "J" code also referred to as "heavy duty."

you might be better off by buying a surplus engine in a container.usually a running takeout.the cores are worth the price.ive had good service from these.

Eight injectors for only $62, are these Chinese parts?

The listing states non OEM parts, so are these really good injectors not being true BOSH?

Yeah, and BOSCH tips would be considered NON OEM. GO FIGURE.
I don't think so, my OEM injectors have "BOSCH" stamped right into the injector body. I'd like to find Bosch replacement nozzles, not rely on some iffy aftermarket brand (The guy in Texas that has 'em for $62, his supplier is USDiesel, whose website looks like a US front for an anonymous foreign manufacturer).

which number should i be ordering? DNOSD248 or DNOSD304
Those DNO numbers are Delhpi from China or India.

CAV, Bosch and Lucas are all part of one big company in Europe.

In the USA, there used to be an American Bosch (AMBAC) and there still is Stanadyne (Roosamaster).

AMBAC was a German Nazi supporter and got all its US assets siezed.

In Europe, CAV/Bosch/Lucas bought rights from USA Stanadyne to make injection pumps.

The 6.2s take the following nozzle tips, and it's kind of silly to worry about CAV versus Bosch #s. They are from the same company.

On the other hand, Delphi numbers that often starte with DNO, or AD DNO, come from China or India. I have used many with zero problems, but they ARE not from Europe.

Also note that many OEM Stanadyne injection parts are made at Stanadyne/Italy.

At one time, there were various nozzles made for 6.2s, depending on precombustion-chamber cup size. As years went on, many replacement "fits all" nozzles have been made. You will never notice the difference.

Last year, I was buying new Bosch nozzles for $5 each, Now they are up to $13 each - Bosch # 0 434 250 898

DNPOSD304 is the Chinese equivlent to the J-code nozzle, Bosch # 0 434 250 898

I buy where ever the best deals are. Right now, RockAuto has new Bosch nozzles for $13.25 each. Part # 0434250898 . Last year I bought 40 new nozzles from them at $3.75 each (a much better deal).

FYI, on the parts finder on Bosch's website they list the part number for the nozzles as 0434250105. This is what it gave me when I put in 1985-Chevy-K30-6.2 diesel. I imagine both will work though...
