my deuce has them and I was wondering the same thing

It is a drop side bed.....when you lower the sides those act as bumpers so the side won't get pushed back too far if a forklift hits it.

Nice brackets.
Been trying to figure out what to do with my chocks other than hanging them from the pioneer rack by their chains.

Better to just put the chock blocks in the tool box unless you don't mind scuffed painted. If you drive the truck much, they will rub on the CARC...that is if you care.
