Anyone need A/C?

keep in mind summer is comming up and with global warming there will be plenty of melting faces and sweaty butt cracks going around!! Needs a few things but it's a start!

granted its a long thread... but its full of info on what you "could" put in your truck

Try to find a 1987 M1028 with the M1010 charging system. Most times, they have most of the set up for factory AC. I know this to be true because I had one. They are hard to find as they did not make many in 1987...most were M1010s.

I've got an '86 M1009 that has AC. Came from GSA that way. Was up at Mt. Weather, VA Homeland Security and previously at Vint Hill, Va. Looks add on, but has a factory style control head in the dash.

Suppose I should take some pics and post them? Still haven't done that.

I just figured if you already have a CUCV and you needed some a/c on the cheap.

I've heard that the Air Force had A/C installed in their M1009's. I don't know about the Navy. Army and Marines just toughed it out I guess.
