Chances are that truck had a radio shack on the back.
Had to have that pintle extension to get out from under that "box".

It's just an extension. Maybe what was on back, or maybe because of the type of trailer it needed an extension.

Interesting as it seems to have the ibis tek tire carrier not the rhino which puts the tire more to the right.

On the left appears to have had the 2 can carrier but the tray is broken off.

I understand amg also had their own version of these 2.

Not sure how to tell the difference.

Ultra rare and not many out there. I suspect the pintle extension is to clear both of these gizmos on at the same time.

Holy Moly! Is that what they are selling for? even without the other needed stuff (trailer plug angle etc.)?
I may have to re-think what I have in my junk pile.

That extension is a good thing really. It will allow you to take sharper turns without the worry of damaging your HMMWV or your trailer. Just be careful when walking around the rear of the HMMWV and not watching where you are going. That thing will damage a shin or two in a minute! Ask me how I know! lol

Truck sold cheap, there were a lot of good parts there even if it was a non-runner.
