The truck looks great I never liked the bobbed truck till I saw yours.
Steel Soldiers now has a few new forums, read more about it at: New Munitions Forums!
To each their own, but why would you bob a truck as rare as that longbed??? Why not sell it to an MV guy/collector who will appreciate it/restore it and just bob a run-of-the mill deuce and swap a Cummins into it? What a crime...I like the setup with the tools box and the spare tire. I want to do tha same thing with my M36E3. I am trying to get a M105A3 bed for it. But i will have to cut the frame on that one.
My mistake. I've only seen the M35 variants with Cummins engines and 5-speeds, but not with Cat engines (yet another reason not to cut it up). That truck might be the only one like it in civilian hands. There would be alot to swap over. the power steering, dual brake system, engine and transmission. It's a CAT 3116 not a cummins. 5 speed ZF transmission. It rolls down the highway pretty good.
They had some M36A2 a while back on GL in PA.
Vinny,I did not cut the frame.I didnt notice the difference, thanks for letting me know.
