Armoured grille -engine temp

Guys,
I think I know the answer but I’ll see if anyone will tell me anything else.

I have the regular grille on my hood, but bought an armoured version.

will this drive up engine temps? In the summer here it’s hot and humid, and I run to 220, fan on down to 205ish, and repeat depending on load.

I kind of suspected Or hoped that the curved and more frequent slats would direct air more evenly across the Rad and at least do the same job.

If it makes it run hotter maybe I’ll stick with my regular one. But it’s a slant back so kinda wanted the look.

well @CanadianAR if this indeed is for a hmmwv I would think that if the military already did it in very-sandy tropical climates then you shouldn't really have any problem yourself in our very-untropical climates? (heh)

Ok. That’s for the input guys. Worst case I swap it back I guess.

The thought that they ran them in the desert had occurred to me, but they also give no f&$@s about money, or ruining a truck, etc and I do. Lol

I'm pretty sure the temp would stay around the same since the truck always run up to 220 degrees either way.

Juan's M998 HMMWV

There is a rubber collar to mesh the pipe to it and it is all the way down. It is actually shorter than another style I passed on. Part of the reason they are taller is that there is a fan blade inside that spins to force more air flow down the pipe.

Install correctly maybe 5 degrees change.
No big deal with both pieces.
