avatar displays smaller than others

why does my new avatar seem to be very small, and everyione else's is full size?

I tried 80x80, 160x160, and full size. All same result.

When I switched from the customary mean kitty to the truck, it shrunk.

here it is, as well as the downsized ones. Standard .JPG files AFAIK, same source as the old cat's picture.

Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 160 by 160 pixels or 48.8 KB (whichever is smaller).

What you have to watch out for with avatars is the exif info attached to photos directly from digital cameras. I had the same problems, in order to make the required maximum file size, my image was very tiny. It was due to the exif data (camera records settings etc as a data file attached to the photo and these data files can be 10-20k. Not much compared to the photo, but when your max is 48k, it's almost half.) Using a "save for web" feature will strip the exif data and just leave the photo.

This avatar will work as well. I downsized it enough to fit and keep it's original aspect ratio. Save it to your HD and upload it as your avatar.

It is 160x107 and >19KB.

It was because when he was added as a moderator, he was put in a moderator group that I didnt adjust avatar sizing for yet.
