Colorado Springs hosted a huge welcome home parade for the military returning this year from overseas. They called it the Red, White and Brave welcome home. Units from the 4th Infantry Division at Ft Carson made up most of the very impressive marching brigades but there were units in the parade from all branches of the services. The Military Vehicles Collectors of Colorado (MVCC) were invited to attend and proudly rolled a variety of vehicles scattered throughout the route on the city's request that included a half track I never got a picture of because they got lost going to the huge lunch that was put on afterwards for the service members which the MVCC had re-united for a static display with an MRAP who joined in at the rear. Way cool vehicle. I lucked out and was following a Navy unit marching with a HUGE American flag. When the videos get posted, no comments on the stability of the shots. Driving the deuce at 55 and trying to get video leads to a jumpy shot. More pics to follow after these. Thats Pikes Peak in one of the early on the road shots.

The soldier laying on the ground looking down the barrel is snuggling up with a real sweet B.A.R one of the clubmembers has. Notice the heavy tow bar on the MRAP. 20 ton vehicle

According to the paper, 45,000 people showed up to the parade today... Nice pics...

That's my CUCV in the last pic... and me and my other half in the 7th pic (we're in the black hats) :)

This is awsome! I would have loved to been in such a historic parade:razz: Something on this scale with the outcome it has generated from the public is unheard off in So-Cal:cry: Not since the Desert Storm#1 homecoming parade in L.A.
