Steering knuckle zipper-less boot replacement, advice needed

I have been for the past 2 days for hours looking through the TM's for what is needed to remove and to replace the steering knuckle boots for my 1989 m932a2.
I only came across this one, in TM 9-2320-272-24-1 3-155 steering knuckle boot MAINTENANCE. on page 3-430.
Can someone that has done this removal and repair for replacing the steering knuckle boot not having the zipper direct me to the right TM with the procedure for this repair.
I await for your reply.

Thanks Wayne

You will not find a zipperless procedure in the TMs as the military did not use zipperless boots. Your choice of non-zipper boots requires you to disassemble the axle knuckles completely so you can slip the boot over the knuckle. An all day ordeal.

I have done business with Rockwell Offroad and happily recommend them. Their customer service is excellent. They went well out of their way after hours on a Friday to help me out of a jam.

I have their boots on my truck. The first set lasted about 3 years.

I know this is a slightly older thread. But I need to do some maint on my 936A2 and the boots/dust seals are 1 of those items. My A2 does have zipper less dust seals, and i could not find anything on the replacement of the seals either in TM 9-2320-272-24-3 where is it explains maint of the knuckle.

Im assuming the zipper seals are like a jacket, where the knuckle doesn't have to come off to replace, them, just cut safety wire, rmv bolts/washers and the dust seal plate, and instal in reverse, then zip the seal up. Am i correct in this assumption?

Now that i am fix to tear down my axle ends. Is there 1 place any better than another to get the hub seals and 2 air/oil seals and 2 dust seals/boots? I will be plugging off the CTIS line going into the axle, and doing away with the CTIS tubing in the hub. Anyone know the cap/plug size for the axle housing? The local hyd shop seems to be good about being able to get plugs/caps so far for the wheel CTIS junk, just gotta see if he has or can get it for the housing, and the LMTV wheels, which are actually metric, going into the check valve, out of the shaft housing. I will be doing a full delete eventually on the LMTV wheels

A search brings this thread up, now. I have to do one side myself to stop a leaker but will do a rebuild in the future. Please post details and parts lists.
