Im afraid your locking mechanism clutch has likely bitten the big one. I heard of people squirting some joint filler sealant into the mechanism and getting the bits inside to seize enough to roll down the window. I guess that works if you don't ever lock your rig but it would bug thehell out of me. LMC carries the parts you would need although i have heard that their clutch is pretty lightly built. A junkyard k5 with a working window roller is probably your best bet. 1st step however you decide to go is taking off the panel inside the gate. Best of luck!
Working on the lift gate is real pain....look at the tm's for exact diagrams, you'll do this several times, scratch your head and read again, etc, etc. GOOD LUCK!
