Baton Rouge, LA Veteran's Day Parade - 9 Nov 2014 - 2PM

[Just A Number]

I was buzzing around town in my MV and was approached by a gentleman who was interested in having the vehicle in their parade. I don't know much more about it than what is contained on the flyer I was given but apparently this will be the first Veteran's Day parade held in Baton Rouge since 1974.

The parade route will be from the USS Kidd to the New Capitol building (about 1.9 mi) and the organizers can be reached through their facebook page:

I thought I'd put the info here for anyone that might be interested in lending a hand. I've not contacted them so I don't know all the parameters but it might be a fun way to spend a day.

Hmm, it's a toss up now. Was going to do the big parade and escort with the pgr in Livingston like we did last year but I don't know now.

Not so much for me, I don't think the chap realized that I was in fact driving a British MV. I don't think I'm actually what they are looking for

I told him what type of vehicle I had and he didn't get back with me. Looks like it is Livingston again.

Looking at their page it seems they are planning on having a meeting this evening. If there is some interest I can swing by and inquire what the game plan is. I'm not sure they know, based on what I've seen of their FB page.

i was asked to come to the meeting tonight. ill be there at 630 to get the scope. i have been asked to help with the organization of the parade this year

had a great meeting and looks like it might be doable.. getting the numbers together and they are high. i do hope the donations that they need will come in and the parade can go on. we will have a good time with some great people. im hoping a bunch of us can bring trucks for the parade
