I picked up my M185 a couple of weeks ago and drove it roughly 350 miles never exceeding 50mph. Took a couple of hour rests during the trip. Oil press gauge never read above 40 psi 0r below 10.
So I've been knee deep in the web reading any thing I can get my hands on. and figure I should change the filters and such. As I am draining the engine oil I pull enough tin and copper out to supply LAPD with new badges!! No metalic flake to the oil just big ( 1"x1/4") stuff. None in the rear resivoir just the front. Not to be discouraged I finished the oil change and put a direct resding gauge on the engine. At idle 40psi cold - 15 psi hot at 1500 rpm 70 psi cold 50hot. 2k rpm add 5psi
I am usiing 15w-40 the odometer has 2450miles and 820 hours it is a LDT465-1D HERC Manufactured in FEB of 92.
The oil pan is coming off so place your betts - Main or Rod bearing or more than one? will the
