Brake adjustment after replacing wheel cylinder?

I just removed the wheels still attached to the hub/drum on my rear axle to replace the seals and the wheel cylinder. I didn't touch the adjusters when removing the wheel cylinder.

My question is do I need to do the major brake adjustment if I'm replacing the cylinder and reusing the old pads? Since the wheels are still on the hub I can't use a feeler gauge and would have to do it by feel.

TM says major adjustment when you replace shoes, minor for servicing.

Major = mess with bottom anchor

Minor = only mess with upper pivot

Pads = disc brakes
Shoes = drum brakes

Most Folks, don't adjust their brakes, often enough! When they are adjusted properly, its usually tough to get the drum off, without backing the shoes off.
