Brakes / Bearings dragging?

Well, trucks back together now. I seem to have run into the "Chinese Outer Seal" issue that I've read about. The hub doesn't get too hot, just warmer than the others. I'm certain of the wheel bearing grease and the bearing preload since I've read quite a bit on doing this project. I looked at the old seal and it has a grove worn into it from the outer cage of the bearing. Is it possible that the new seals just have to be broken in some? I read about pressing them outward 1 mm as being the cure for one member on here so that may be an option. Any thoughts would be appreciated. I'm wondering if a few short trips would cure the hub and plan on trying that route.

Glad you fixed it.
If after a short highway driving that hub gets only a little warmer, I would leave it as is.

And yes it will "wear in"and shortly after that....... it will be "worn out" and leaking again .......!
Why so? Well, just take a closer look at the OEM seal's construction and compare with these cheap wannabe seals.... no spring effect here and barely enough resiliency of the sealing lip material.....
That's why I decided to reduce - and use them with only a minimum - preload from the first day on.

Any idea's on where to find the correct seals? I'm not so much concerned about cost, I'd just like to do the job correctly with the correct parts so that it does not become a common task. Of course, pulling the hubs and repacking the bearings is an annual task according to the lube order so using and replacing defective outer hub seals may just be part of the ownership experience.
