Brass Cooling System Elements Removal Issue

Happy Friday.

Any ideas?

My 06 HMMWV 1123.

When I attempt to remove the (probably original) items like the thermostat fan drive and the engine temp sensor, the wrenches start to round off the brass.

I'm on the transmitter presently. It calls for a 3/4 wrench, so I even used the 19mm box end-which fits ultra tight, and same thing. Unit will not give way but the brass is.

Thanks for taking the time to reply and have a great weekend!

Curious why you are removing them?
You could try a little heat around where the sensor is installed although you would need to be really careful that you don't toast anything else.
Pipe wrench if you can get to it.

Sometimes a "love tap" on the fastener will help shock it loose. Especially a love tap and pulling on the wrench at the same time...
