Can anyone identify an airshift transfer case from an interior picture?

From the little bit of searching I've done, I believe that is what it is under the center of the dash in this picture. However, I have never personally been in a deuce, and don't know for myself. Can I just have someone confirm please?

Thank you! that's good to hear, as I already placed a (really low) bid on the truck. It's a 1970 Kaiser/continental wo/w, hardtop. It's only got two days before bidding is over. If I win I have to drive it home from about 300 miles away... haha.

Well, outbid already lol, but hey, I learned something new.

So far I've really only been looking for all the tires having air, the truck runs in the video, and air shift. Everything else is a bonus.

One suggestion from me, since you have never personally been in a deuce have you at least downloaded the manuals yet? If not do yourself a favor and get a hold of those. Will give you more knowledge before taking a truck on the road.

Might even want to make a friend of a member on here and go look at their truck, listen and learn. And if they are nice maybe let you go for a drive.

Lol I can air up tires, I'm just less likely to have to replace one on the spot if they're all holding air already. I'm actually fairly adept at working on smaller vehicles. There are a couple of cincinnati members I guess I could PM. I will look into getting manuals.

It should be known that I've been fooled by the switch before. Bought a truck that had the air shift switch. Didn't realize it until I got it home that it had a sprag. It looked like the truck was originally a air shift but for some reason the Army swapped it out with a sprag case and left the switch in place.

If you want a realistic idea of the bidding process, wait till the last hour of the bidding. Set the page to refresh every minute. You'll learn early, low bids rarely last. Not when it comes to trucks anyways.

Also remember if your going to bid in the last minute or two it will ask you to verify a bunch of info, credit card number etc. The auction may end before you get this done.

If you get over to Louisville ever I can take you for a ride in mine (once I get the front axles back together). Also they do come up for bid a lot closer to home, from time to time.

Or the whole GL site might lock up and your SOL.
