Hello,

I have two wip antennas which I plan to install on my M998 and I was wondering if they will automatically work on my truck CB radio and my AM/FM radio or will I have to do anything the antenna to work?

Sorry but they will not work as designed as what you have is the HF sincgars antennas. (30 – 88 MHz) as shown here http://ara-inc.com/datasheets/AS-3900.06.28.2010.pdf

The AM/FM radio antenna needs to work properly at AM Band 500 KHz to 1750 KHz and FM Band 88MHz -108 MHz
The CB radio needs to work properly at the following frequency band range. 26.9650 MHz to 27.4050 MHz

I appreciate the details and for taking the time to include the link. Do I have any options? Can I get converters or anything? I really like the way these antennas look and I plan to install them on my M998 but I don't want it for just looks.

They should both receive, but you are going to have a lot of problems if you ever want to transmit, unless you modify the antenna. Fortunately, someone has posted how to do just that recently, with pictures. Should be in the radio forum.

I have a Harris RT-3183 30-500mhz antenna which fits into the standard mount and visually isn't very distinct from any of the other military antennas. It only works marginally on CB for TX, the S meter is pretty high, although I can be heard. It works well through the remaining ham bands and FRS. It receives in a serviceable manner under 30mhz, even shortwave.
