What happens if I use a breather filter instead of a CDR valve?

Or... How do I plumb one to my turbo air intake?

I used a vacuum fitting and drilled a hole in my intake between my filter and turbo

I never had a CDR on my truck when i got it. It had a breather coming off of the filler and it made a mess. Oil all over the place and on the hood liner. I have a turbo also and got a cheap intake and that makes a 90 degree bend and filter from the parts store. I drilled a hole and put a fitting big enough to put the 1 in vacuum hose over and it worked good so far. I think i have pics of it somewhere.
