Changing the rear springs on my M1031

Looks like the 22-617HD is what I'll be looking for. My truck weighs 8600# with just the tools and supplies in it.

No offence, but these all look like they'd be insanely stiff !

Probably, for a empty truck, for a truck with welder, cutting rig{oxygen and acetylene cylinders] compressor, generator and tools not so much.

There is room to add the factory helper spring with the U-bolt Reversal Kit

The Dayton 22-617HD Special Heavy Duty Leaf Spring Assembly (Made in the USA) for 81-91 Chevrolet/GMC C and K - Series; Rear --9/1 Leaf; are rated for 4,650 lbs each 9,300 lbs for the pair.

The M1031 data plate total axle load G.V.W. is listed at 9,200

FWIW

i am considering 10 ply{E rated] LT295/75R 16 tire's as the have a max load single rating of 3,970 lbs at 80 psi, this is the highest load rating I have located in 16"

I updated my M1028 with ORD greaseable bushings for front and rear springs, and upgraded rear shackles for the front springs and rear springs, but left the OEM springs in place......truck rides very well for a one ton.

I installed the rear springs this Saturday 11-11-2017

Interesting. My 1031 has a weight problem and is squatting due to tools..welder with oxyacetylene rig and all the other stuff.

I was thinking of air assist all around to level it out. Any issues? The air compressor works well and the system holds air so no need for a compressor.
