I had a wild idea. I was thinking about putting an 886 ambulance body on My 78 Club Cab!! Opinions, ideas, condemnations!!!!

Sure would be cool. Adapting the cab over section to your club cab will stimulate some head scratching.

Yes it would. I'm worried about roof flex. Not sure if there would be any, but it is a thought.

Check out an M1010 body. Might simplify the task a bit.

MUCH less work involved in mounting an M1010 body.

I have been contemplating doing the exact same thing with a 1st gen Cummins W250!

The 1010 style was a direct result of the 886 roof issues.
that a 6 1/2 foot bed? need 2 more feet for the ambo body.
