Folks, I have one of the 11x11 command post tents. The walls are modular and interchangable. I have 2 plain walls, a window wall and an entrance wall. On the cover of the TM is shows the tent used in conjunction with an APC (M577 maybe). The appendix doesn't show a specific wall to adjoin to a vehicle. Does anyone know if such a wall exists?

Yes they do. They are called boot walls, and there are several, for the M577's, HMMWV Shelters, ect Check out the latest TM for the Command Post Tents TM 10-8340-243-13&P dated April 2006.

I love my command post tent!

The bootwall liner is listed in the TM, but no NSN foe the bootwall itself!

It says the bootwall must be ordered separately.

No wonder! I was looking at TM 10-8340-225-10 instead of TM 10-8340-243-13. Is the 225 TM a completely different tent? Crap!

Wow, a TM with color pictures. How cool. Guess I need to open up said tent and assemble it to see how it works.

If you intend to get a boot wall ensure you order the correct version for your use. The walls for M577/M1068, S250s, S788s, etc are different. I'm not sure how many wall versions are out there, but I know first hand some versions don't adapt to different shelters very well at all. I've used incorrect versions for my shelters in the past and they leaked so bad it was easier to not use them at all.

How hard would it be to make one? Or rather turn one of the side walls into one.
I think this is the route I'm going to take. I'll mod out a regular wall with the cuts I need to adapt to my M1008 or M1010 depending on my needs.

I just picked up a green M577/1068 boot wall, brand new in the box, off of my favorite auction site, shipped for less than $100. I think it will work very nicely with an enclosed trailer, even if I have to mod it a bit.
