If you cannot get into any military bases, only option you have is hire a commercial carrier to pick it up for you? Is it true? That would not be economical thing to do. Beside, you need to be a retiree to take time to deal with GP or almost beg them to get your item.

Why can't you get on any military bases ?
Criminal history , terror watch list , poor planing and not on the appointment list, no valid ID ?

I am US citizen with no criminal record. I also hold top security clearance. I can get in to military bases as long as I have a sponsor.

i just asked in general. I don't think you have to be a US citizen to buy from GP / GL unless items require EUC. Just hire commercial carrier to pick up items.

My two am confooooosed. Last base I went to, I stopped at the gate, gave my DL, reg., and POI just like I would to an officer on a traffic stop. The nice MP thanked me went into the hut and shortly came back out and handed me my stuff and a very pretty hang tag for my mirror. He then shook my hand and wished me a pleasant visit. So W T F ?

I am a civilian, not military.

I go on several bases regularly and don't have an issue

What base has the op had an issue with access

It depends on the base really. For Gp and GL you would go in at the commercial gate. I can get onto Hood, Riley and campbell as well as RRAD but Bragg gives me trouble now since they took away the twic card. Sometimes its fine sometimes not.

Depends on your state ID, some bases are enforcing 'REAL-ID' a bit more assertively and if your state is not compliant (or you have not had one of the new Id's from them), you get turned away. If you have a US passport, they will ignore the non-compliant state id and use the passport. And some bases have a stricter policy on un-escorted visitors because if the missions performed there..

I have no issue at Bragg or Jackson. no criminal history and not military. I go through the commercial truck entrances.

Same at Ft Riley just go to I go through the commercial truck entrance, which happens to be the closest gate to GL and GP. GP or GL is your sponsor, you need a reason to get on base, real ID, no guns, no warrants, insurance and current registration. Oh and they may search you and your vehicle.
