Hello
I am planning on setting up a momentary on switch for my m1009 so i can manually control the glow plugs. this is the method i am planning to use.
1. cut light blue wire from GP relay under dash and connect to manual switch.
2. run a new wire from other pole on switch to a good ground somewhere on car.
this supposedly would complete the circuit and heat the plugs as long as i held down the button.
what i want to know is this.
1. will i be in complete control of the plugs, or will the relay still work (automatically heating the plugs)?
2. will the wait light still come on?
3. if there was an emp burst that cooked the GP card, will this bypass still light the plugs?
also is that 12v or 24v going to that relay under the dash?
thanks
