I downloaded TM9-2920-225-34 for troubleshooting the generator assembly on my deuce. Mine is AMA-5108UT, and the TM only covers the 5102. Is there another TM for the 5108, or is troubleshooting the same for both models?

From:
"NSN 2920009092483. Prestolite p/n AMA5104UT, Military p/n 10929868. (old p/n's A0013002AC, A0013002AF, AMA5103UT, and AMA5102UT have been superseded by AMA5104UT)."

I couldn't find any mention of the 5104 in the TM either. The 5108 (which is marked as "unavailable" by Prestolite/Leece-Neville) is listed as a cross on some of the suppliers websites for the 5102 and 5104.

But, this discussion-
implies that the guts of the 5108 (which is also know as a L-N 3002AE) isn't properly covered by the TM.

Not a lot of help, sorry.
My personal guess is the alternators will interchange and the manual will work for external troubleshooting, but not to depend on the manual if your trouble shooting leads you to start disassembling it.
