Well, back to the grind...
I have most of the cab body work done now after sandblasting... If this is looking a little backwards it’s because we’re trying to leave the front clip intact as long as possible.... which isn’t going to last MUCH longer! So basically at this point the cab rearward is ready for paint.
Still need to strip the dash, air box, steering column, etc out... Not looking forward to that mess.
We’re working on a intake in prep for the 6.5... First and foremost was getting the air flow out from under the hood... Second was adding to the fording ability... Yes I know... I'll never use it... highway queen... blah blah blah... but I have one and you don’t so that’s what counts!!! lol Still a ways to go on the construction but in the end it will look like one seamless piece and be lined and molded to the body… and if you find this little feat annoying just wait till we do the exhaust stack!
10K winch that I picked up for the truck a few months ago... Ive got the front brush guard done and ready to paint... I'll get pics soon but its a pretty cool fab job for holding a winch and still looking very stock!
Tail gate is back in one piece... New handles were powder coated black, new weather stripping, window runs etc... Windows motion going up and down is SWEET!
The seat base for the rear seat... We built and adapter for the Yukon seat so it will fold down and forward just like the stock seat... Gotta get the seats redone in black yet but this mess needed to be welded up and done first... The bottom of the seat will get covered in aluminum plating when finished to give a nice hard headboard to the bed when folded up.
