Yup NATO cable, welded to the troop seat.Electrical test of the starter is necessary. The only wires capable of melting a battery terminal post are starter and NATO port. Also check communication kit wiring, if truck has it.
Ditto what Rick said. Git rid of all that extra wire!!!!!!!Get rid of that set of cables. Unless you need it in place. I would remove it from the truck and discard it. Or get 4 nice clamps and make a good heavy set of jumper cables. Good Luck. I knew it was a dead short. But didn't know you still had the power cables flopping around in the bed.

They are gone, just wish would have removed them sooner.
