CUCV long crank root cause?

My M1010 will start and I use a dead head relay and have checked all glow plugs so it must be a fuel issue. Engine cranks for 10 plus second before it fires. My M1031 would fire right away - hardly cranked at all.

Should I be concerned? Truck runs great but seems to crank longer and slower than my M1031.

Sounds like the IP is failing or you have a fuel leak and the system is bleeding down.

You only have to touch the throttle if it is cold out. Check the sunvisor for the half and full position temperatures. I'm sure it is also in the TM. I go about half when it is around freezing and full when in the single digits. Should not need any throttle assist when warm.
