Thank y'all for all of the help I ended up taking out one of the blackout lights and using its mounting hole then drilled another. I found some bolts with led lights in the head and tapped into the brown wire ,it doesn't look to bad and now they have no excuse to pull me over.

One thing that was dead simple on my M1031 SECM. The left rear light cluster already had the clear bottom for the plate light. Just mounted the plate under the light cluster. Done.

In Ny the inspection regulations require that all lights work that the vehical came with from the factory, cucv never had plates or lights!

In Pennsylvania it is required to have a light on the license plate. I have my Pennsylvania vehicle inspection license and I won't pass a vehicle with out one. And really I guess I could push the issue. But I don't need the down time or the hassle of a roadside debate with Deputy Dog. Every town has its own police force and my signature and number is on every vehicle I inspect. So to avoid down time and legal issues I follow the letter of the law. I mean I still meet people that never heard of a CUCV. They think its an old Chevy truck I painted camo. And in most ways that's all it is. So I have lights and abide by the law. I have no point to prove or disprove. Have a Great Day. My wife was along the road for an hour for factory window tint on an 09 Impala that was an ex unmarked police car. Factory tint. The local yokal read the riot act to her till a friendly State Police trooper stopped to assist and they left her go. It is just a hassle for nothing. 1 wire and 1 hole LED light looks nice.
