He said the engine was original and was turbo charged until the turbo went out. and that the rear end has been changed to a 1 ton. A buddy of mine is going to go look at it this weekend and may buy it. I am going to get him to send me the VIN

Never seen a stock 350 with a turbo in a suburban.

Need more pics and a VIN to make a positive ID.

The only turbo in that bodystyle Suburban was a Turbo 350 or Turbo 400 tranny... LOL

I'd love to see more pics and info on it though.

more pics and more to come

Well I passed on the suburban, with a m1009 project, m35a2 project and a newborn it was a wise decision on my part. My best friend ended up buying it. he also has a 09 project under works. Here is a pic of the door tag, he said the vins match. I will try to shoot a walk around video the next time we meet up. more to pics to come when he sends them to me.

It was born an 88 3/4 ton suburban 4x4 with a 350 gas engine. thanks. mark
The only engine with a turbo could be a 6.5 diesel from 92 up. when the turbo fails they smoke bad and lose power.

Clone. No Mxxx involved. Someone added the grill guard and bumpers.

Yeah, but its still pretty cool. I cannot wait to take a better look at it. It is a govt suburban. He said it came from New Jersey and was used on an Air-Force base to tow planes. I guess that is why it has a 1 ton axle.

Many of us have built clones. I have a couple on the back burner.
