Hi I have a 1984 cucv. I was driving home with it and I seemed to be loseing power but I was able to go a few more miles.
I reached a hill and I was done truck would not climb the hill. next day I changed fuel filter, it started fine and ran good for about 10 minutes. I had it towed home and tried later to start it. It was running really rough and lots of smoke (blue). and no throttle at all.
I could really use some advice. I was thinking lift pump or IP? Is there a sure way to find out? Also is the IP 12 or 24 volt?

Thank you for any help

I agree with Recovry. I had a similar situation with my M1010 a couple years ago and it turned out that I had gotten fuel with a bunch of water in it. My smoke was mostly white, but the other symptoms were the same.

Same thing happened to me when failed to keep the tank full on a very cold spell (-F's). Blue smoke as well. Filled the tank with some winter diesel, added some antigel, changed the fuel filter and it cleared right up.
