I have been wanting to swap a turbo 400 and allison tranny into my 5 ton bridge truck to gain some more horsepower. I just don't have the time or resources to do it right now so I need to sell or trade my donor truck off. It is a 70s model made by White, and I think the mileage on it is only 20,000 or so, thought to be original. Where is the best place to market the engine/tranny combo and what is its value? Anyone here thinking about an upgrade to 400?

As long as you get an engine that is piston cooled, it can be made into a 400 hp pig, so, if you find a 290, 300, etc, for a good deal, grab it. Isn't a turbo 400 a GM transmission?
