De-splined drive flanges

At last i,ve managed to get hold of some spare front hub drive flanges which i,ve de-splined to stop diff and propshaft turning while running on road. I also want to free up the middle axle by removing half shaft and blanking off with a flange with splines, hope to get better turning circle and less tyre wear and more m.p.g.
By doing this will any oil get out off the diff and into the hub and brakes (by removing half shaft) I,ll be keeping parts in truck in case i get in any soft stuff.

You can cover that area where the axle shaft is pulled with one of the splined front flanges.

No worries about oil getting in there unless the outer seal is bad or the cork is missing. In either case, the shaft being in place or not, won't have any effect on the oil.
