Well that makes sense hahaha. Probably should have looked that up before cutting. Luckily I have extras. Thanks pointing that outThe support legs typically sit at an angle where the floor meets the bed wall.
Good idea. I'll do up a new post with drawings dimensions and some pictures of the rest of the project. If you are able to provide dimensions and/or a drawing of your modifications, I'm sure others will appreciate being able to replicate your efforts without having to "reinvent" these troop seats.
Thanks for sharing!
Ok cool that will make life so much easier. One of the axle is leaking water out of the top end. The second one seems to be good. But still gonna tear into it and make sureYes, works just fine.
Deuce axle ratio
Can anyone tell me if the axle ratio on a 1953 M35 gasser is the same as a later M35A2 multifuel? [ 6:72 to 1 ? ]www.steelsoldiers.com
And post #5 describes one with mixed age axles: https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/53-studebaker-truck-rebuilt-into-multifuel.195228/
OOO! there's no "Dislike button"!.Bob it.....
.Finally got both rears out from under the truck and then did a quick power wash to clean them off some.
Now to set the area up for tear down and rebuild. And I gotta figure out a better way to get these heavy things back under the truck when done.
