Hello guys, running on filtered wmo and 2 weeks ago it suddenly stoppet on the road. Got it towed home today witm my dodge ram:) changed both secondary filters, bleed the top screw on the filters, got diesel to the fdc, still dont fiering up. Unscreved the nozzle/injector on the cylinder closest to the torpedo(is this the right??) and dont get any fuel out, cranced the batteries empty...got to buy me a 24v charger tomorow. Also checked the shutof valve on the dieselpump behind the cover, works fine. So do you guys have any tips to solve the problem?? Should i just charge the batteryes and keep on cranking? :)

did it spit and sputter, then shut off or just shut off like the stop rod was pulled out? how much fuel is in the tank? try adding more fuel even if you think there is enough in it. if that dosnt work, i would pull your pump and see if the hose on the pickup is still intact. also check to make sure your pump is set to the right depth per the TM.

It was down a hill so i dont noticed if it sputtered, propably not, think the intank pump works fine, i have bleeded several liters tru the new secondary filters, and also have diesel out of the fdc when intankpump is on. Also thinned the wmo with some gallons diesel/gasoline.and got half tank now. Hmm...

We just had another member here have the same issue with WMO. He spent an entire day wrenching a swearing, only to miss a day of Poofstock.
In the end, he found his Hydraulic Head was messed up.
Some are finding that the $ saved on fuel are exceeded in replacement parts.
Good luck with your repair. The repair thread was by Kennys@wirr.com (or whatever his f'd up screen name is)

Oh ****....but have only runned about 100 gal of wmo, could it have messed up the pump already?? Tryed the search function, but coult not find any thread with search on Kennys@wirr.com

I am pretty sure my problem was not due to the use of WMO but rather the button retaing spring for the button on the bottom of the HH plunger giving out. You could see the damage to the button and the bottom of the plunger from it. If you need more help just email me, if only I could recall what the **** my email addy is I'd tell you. It's not all that difficult to do and if you weren't in another country I'd say just give me a call.

Have now screwed that bolt out of the hh. Its a piston down there, should it move or is it a tiny piston in the hole in the middle that should move? It seems like nothing move when cranking even if i tapped it a couple of times. But hard to see, the diesel is flowing out when cranking

It is best to use a wooden dowl or a drift have some one else turn it over and watch the dowl/drift. It should move up and down. If not you can try to tap it lightly, be careful this could knock the button off the bottom. If it still won't move you will need to remove the HH and either replace it or attempt a rebuild. Just follow the steps from my post on the subject and you should be fine. If you need any explaining just send me a pm.
