Look, you guys need to pay more attention to details...... the reason this is a $17K truck is that it comes with the earplugs (see below).

Most of the time, when you buy a truck, you have to go buy earplugs, sunglasses, etc.

This one is ready to roll!!!!!!!! And that's probably worth $10K in and of itself!

All joking aside, that is one fine looking deuce. SUPER clean.

.....and it doesn't even have a winch!!! I wouldn't have bought my truck for $2500 if it hadn't had a winch!! It is clean, but he's also throwing in all his labor and time in the price.....no telling what it looked like when he started on it....But a duece for that price??? Better have A.C. and a new travel trailer in tow!! [thumbzup]

It is definately nice, but I agree with Chuck. This guy is on something illegal. M813s in cherry condition do not go for that kind of money. Whatever he is smoking or toking, I want a pound of it! (My apologies to Chuck for the last comment!)

Chuck-
No, you don't need to say anymore. You've probably seen 100 times the stuff I've ever imagined there could be.

Hey, just noticed the grille cover on you Deuce! Is that a new addition? As you can see from my Avatar, I used Krylon camo spray paint to make mine blend in better.

That is a really good looking truck...but.......there is no way i would spend that much on one.....i could but about 5 for what he wants for that one(thats including all the parts you would have to be to spruce them up

It's probably a case of his wife saying "Honey, your going to sell that big green truck or else!!". And he knows if he priced it as such, he will still get to keep it!! :D

That was my thought exactly. Of course, if he DOES sell it at that price, he can get a decent replacement for 1/3 the selling price AND still have money in the bank! THEN he gets to say "look honey, what a great deal these big green trucks are! We should buy a couple more and end up on easy street!"

Don't know about you guys, but my Deuce is kind of like a motorboat. A big hole in the driveway that you keep throwing money into. Seems like every time I fix/add/repair something, I find 10 more things I can do that cost me more money yet!

At the rate I am going, it kind of seems like by the time I get my Deuce all tricked out the way I want it, my original $2800 investment is going to end up costing me the $42,000 the Gov't spent on the truck back in 1970!

Yep, and it's an addiction too. I NEEDED to sell mine about ten times so far, cause it's a toy right, first to go?! NOPE!! Told my wife if it's gotta go, then i'll go with it!! She's finally wanting to ride around with me, and I plan on taking her on her first "Mud Ride" this weekend!!

Strange as it seems, my wife LIKES to drive the Deuce. I have even let her take it out for a few spins by herself, without me co-piloting. She just needs to figure out the "rhythm" to shifting it properly and she will be OK.

If it sells for that much, I am officially changing my job from HR Specialist to Duece Restoration Mechanic. I know it would be more fun than what I'm doing now.

Same cover. Same Picture. I still have yet to put the cover on for winter. I saw your truck in person at General Jims. I was walking around your truck with Paul Pappas. I had my m1009 and was with my son, if you happen to remember me.
