New member CH46. 1987 M35A2C, my first deuce. Turn Signals and 4 way flasher only works when park and/or headlights are activated, as designed. Mine worked a few times, then quit. Is there a flasher or fuse I can check, and if so..where?
Nomenclature DC Electronics Inc., Aurora, Ill PN DCE.8800 24VDCUS
Thanks

Only fuse is on top of the fuel pump.

You can test the flasher unit, they frequently fail. They have 3 circuits, solid power in, flashing power out and ground. Ground it and put 24V to the input and see what happens. Occasionally turn signal switches fail but in my experience, 8 out of 10 times it's the relay.

Come to the Ga Rally in October.

I've had the wires going to my turn signal lever break and needed spliced. First I'd check the flasher though.

Order a new flasher from Erik's Surplus and be done with it. If you haven't checked out your brakes yet get some of those parts too and check everything out. I replaced all wheel cylinders, master cylinder and air pack in my truck. The wheel cylinders had an unbelievable amount of rust in them.

If I recall correctly, when mine failed it was just a dirty ground connection for the flasher unit. Worth checking, since it only takes a couple minutes to remove, clean, and replace.
