Hi,

I just got a 2003 M1097A2 and of course it has the big block of stuff where the positive wire connects and then there are smaller wires on different battery cables, and other runs that are connected and some that are just cut off.

All I want is the HMMWV to run, I don't want to add any extra stuff to it (not at this time anyway).

do I need all the smaller wires connected around the battery bay?

There is one from the positive terminal (connected to the body under the rubber glob... it's just cut off - I assume I need to CAP it or some how remove it so it doesn't short out?

I am new to all this electronics stuff so I wanted to ask.

Thank you,
David

Chances are the wires were for radios and if they are colored wires, chances are even better that you don't need them. Factory won't have "extra" wiring hanging from the battery terminals...
