Documenting the M105A2 structure

I have decided to document, in picture format, the chassis of the M105A2 which may help eliminate some of the confusion of the structure and assist others who are about to climb underneath one in the dirt for the first time.
There will be about 24 pictures all total.

MDMorgan has removed the bed of this refurbished M105A2 and it gave me the opportunity to photograph with ease what you should see underneath.

I worked on some 105s this week. I did notice that some have spring bolts to allow for frame flex(older model) and others do not(newer model).

While were here discussing some differences. Has anyone noticed this? Both these trailers are A2's, notice in the pics the difference between the hubs. One looks like it has a spacer or different hub behind the wheel. Anyone know why?

Don't know why, but we have that going on as well. Was going to post up at some point and ask . . . guess I don't need to now :)

This is the axle / wheel set-up on my M105A2 Hardtop.
All our other 105's look normal.

My M103A2/105 has a different style application chamber for the master cylinder and has the recessed hub covers. That newer style chamber for the master cylinder makes it easy to get and change the diaphragm. Mine also has the reservoir tank.

There is a 3rd type as well. You see it on on the old XM trailers. The dust cap is dished out and has 8 1/2 bolts holding it on. Just so happens to be the same bolt pattern as a deuce hub so these caps can be used if you wanted to pull an axle shaft or remove all of them for a trailer conversion.
