I had my complete exhaust off without removing the drive shaft. It was like counting pieces and I started from the turbo and worked my way back. I started from the muffler to put it back together.

In conclusion, Eric and I did what MaxJeep1 describes. We removed unit single piece by piece. We then tilted the muffler by pivoting it on the rubber support to get access to the rubber support. We then cut the rubber muffler support rubber to get around pulling the stupid muffler support bracket.
I WON’T be reinstalling muffler so don’t do this if you’re planning to use OEM. I will replace the cat, but I will use a straight pipe to bypass the muffler.
