Doghead starter Mod and Manual Glow Plugs relationship?

Hello all!

Im about to do the Doghead starter mod and had a question. My 1986 M 1008 CUCV has been retro fitted with a manual glow plug switch. Will I need to take this into consideration in any way before doing the Doghead mod? Does one have anything to do with the other?

Pardon my ignorance but this is my first diesel truck (let alone my first MV)

As long as you disconnect the batteries before doing the doghead mod, thus preventing the possibility of shorting out something and blowing fuses or fusible links resulting in the GP or other systems not working, then... no.
