DOT 5 Brake Fluid Color Loss/Degrading

Is dot 5 always purple. was goin to bleed brakes and noticed the color of mine was yellowish but clean .thanks guys

DOT 5 loses its purplish colour after a while. You need to take a sample and do the water test (water will not mix with DOT 5).

ok. um how do I do that. put fluid and a little water in bottle and shake up?

Yep. Fluid and water in the same bottle. You don't need to SHAKE it, just swirl it around a little bit.
