Driver's seat cushions are disintegrating

My truck arrived on Thursday. I've jumped in and out of it several times now. It seems the canvas seat cover on the driver's side is very brittle and tearing apart and the cushion is actually turning to powder. It's the weirdest thing. I guess the truck has spent too much time in the desert.

The truck wasn't used much since it was rebuilt in 1991. The truck shows 7500 miles and 276 hours on the meter. The seat cushions must have turned brittle from sitting.

Is there a good place to buy replacement seat cushions or should I just take to to an upholster shop?

They're out there. I found new seat cushions at various times on e-bay and from some of the ususal places that have deuce parts like Saturn, Memphis, TNJ Murray, etc.

I recently purchased 14oz canvas locally and recovered my seats. Pretty simple and looks good.

Just want to give a shout out to Rivired for giving me his old driver's seat. It's not the prettiest, but it is in good condition. I certainly couldn't complain about the price. Thanks again!
