Dropping the oil pan

Getting ready to drop the pan and install a new gasket on my A2, being there seems to be only rtv there now., Other then a general look around is there anything specific to these engines I should check, change ( retorque?) while I have it off.

By retorque you mean back off and retorque right. Yea I might pull some main and rod off and look if you got the time.

at the very least, check the rod bearings.
