Do you guys think that dual Glasspacks would be to loud for a M1008, I live in a small town but would drive through De Kalb, IL a bigger town, and if I where to go to my friends houses they live in the country and half my friends run just headers so I know that answer, I just need to get tickets or my parents will kill me.

Please tell me what you guys have on your MV?

Ok I'm calling shanagians...

First you don't know that diesels are fuel injected... BUT your qualified to be installing a turbo on one... I let that thread slide...

Now you want to ask about installing a glass pack... on a diesel?

I don't want to discourage anyones interest in the site or MV's but seriously kid... No offense but... Go read for a while then get back to us with a posting that at least makes sense.

Thanks, I listened to the videos but I would be alot better in person to hear it or if some one would tell me what would be to loud, and no one has told me what is bad about glasspacks, I have one on my gas dodge and I think it sounds great, I sw the video on youtube and it sounded good but I couldn't judge how loud it was.

Its going to be so loud your going to feel like **** after you take a good long drive. Anyone who has driven there deuce over a couple hundred miles with a "C" turbo like me (976 in one day) will know what high intensity noise will do to your body. I had dual flow masters on my M1008 and it was so gosh darn loud I had to install glass packs at the tail pipes to lessen the noise.

Would you post a pic of your truck also? we been hearing a lot about it but have not seen it.

Thanks for telling why the are bad, but it doesn't answer my question, how loud were your flowmasters and how far back where they? I don't have a truck yet I have to wait until next year to sell my other truck and maybe my car. I am just trying to figure out what to put on the truck when I get it.

Thank you, that helps me alot considering my dodge has a glasspack, I just didn't know if the diesel would make it louder. What would be the best muffler to put on a M1008?

I don't care how much it makes the cab rumble, if I had to drive hundreds of of miles I would drive my car, is that why you are saying no to flowmasters and glasspacks?

I have some really loud gas trucks. They are real fun at high rpm at the sand dunes. When I bought my M1009 it is my first diesel. I really like listening to the engine alone. I have no reason to try and make the tailpipe louder. This is so fun to drive just the way it is and I will keep a stock exhaust on it. I will also never get into high rpms with this truck(not that the diesel even does). Just plain fun to drive normally. 2cents more from me, I don't like glass packs anymore, don't care for the sound of them on any motor. I do have a stainless works tube muffler on a truck similar to a glass pack but a better sound. A lot of money though. I would keep it stock.

Put a set of cut outs on it, if you want to be able to go from normal to loud and back again. They make them nowdays with an elec switch, no need to even get out of the truck. I've had a set of cut outs on my roadrunner for years. Once every blue moon I get a wild hair and uncap them.

Yeah I love the sound of a diesel to but with out a turbo they sound different. Electric cut outs are expensive, to expensive for me. I will probably leave them alone a just worry about my lift and tires first.

I have glasspacks in my m1009, its not terribly loud, its louder when your accelerating but when your cruising its not really much louder than the stock exhaust. I drive it in Campton Hills, IL where the cops are out to get you for the smallest thing (been pulled over for no light on the liscense plate and because he thought I might have not used my turn signal) and I have had no trouble with my exhaust. I think you will be fine I even like the sound it makes.

Ten people have looked at this and nobody has said anything!
If you are SO impatient that you cant wait more than 30 minutes for an answer.... You really should find someplace else for your information.
