Well, my green obsession finally convinced myself to find me a HET. Located one from a private individual and made a couple trips to inspect it. It's a 1997, the only thing I found wrong with it is the small 3k lb winch was removed. Owner said it came from auction that way. So, I guess I'll replace it at some point. It does make my MK48 seem a bit tinier.

If you ever have to pay out the big winch cables you'll want that little winch in it's proper place. In the Army we usually made the crew of the tank drag them out just for S & G's.:naner::naner::naner:
Yeah, even if I never run em out I would still want to find one just to complete the truck. I wonder if a hydraulic Hummer winch would work? With a longer smaller cable?

One word: Samson

80% lighter than steel lines / 5:1 safety factor? THATS INSANE!
Look at the 7/8" rope HERE, 7/8" is what is on my M916.
It is "rated" at 84,000 POUNDS, plus safety factor! WOW.
Instead of a crew, one man can handle it.

Apparently you are not familiar with the rules. You are supposed to by 880's and cucv's first, then deuces and 5 tons, then lvs's and M1070's. Why sm I the only one following the rules?
