There is no such thing as an ECV engine harness per sey...it's just a turbo engine harness, the body harness is either A2 or ECV. The turbo harness will not have a crank position sensor lead, they moved it into the ECV body harness.

Thanks. So there were non ECV turbos? Trying to stay as stock as i can so I'm not going to fool around and hack up two brand new harnesses. I'll be ordering the ECV body harness. Will this be essentialy plug and play or are there other issues I should look out for? Thanks.

The ECV harness does not have connections for the front turn signals and marker lights. It has a connector on each corner for jumper harnesses to plug into.

Yes, I have those on my hood and nose. Unfortunately they cut them close to the connection, so I'll be picking those jumpes up as well. Guess I'm now in full blown upgrade /restoration mode. Thanks for all the education and advice. L

Just go with the ECV body harness and turbo engine harness....all plug and play.
the turbo harness routes across the front of the motor, unlike the NA's that route to the rear.
turbo harnesses are that expensive, compared with the ECV body harmess anyway.

Thanks. As you said 86humv has a lot of the parts I still need. Want to do this conversion/upgrade right and will be pulling the tub for this. Never had more fun that putting this project together. It's become my new passion.

it is fun, and worth the effort IMO. 86humv is running low if not out of some of the stuff needed for the conversion.
